Shawn Reed is a gifted musician and charismatic leader who excels at bringing creative musical vision to life. Working with all levels of musical ability and experience, Shawn has a proven history of gathering musicians and rallying them together to wow audiences of all ages. 

Her passion for music and her relentless energy is evident as her baton commands attention and her enthusiasm exudes from every part of her being – from her captivating smile down to her bouncing step – filling the room with palpable inspiration and musical enjoyment. 

As an industry veteran, Shawn has extensive experience in contemporary music, music theater productions, recording sessions, full orchestras, string ensembles, and combined choral/orchestral works. In addition to her guest conducting and orchestra contracting work, Shawn is currently the Music Director and Conductor of the orchestra at New College Franklin, the Conductor for the Centerville Community Orchestra, and the Orchestra Conductor at Lipscomb University. 

Shawn received her B.A. in Piano Performance from Colorado Mesa University and her Master of Music in Orchestral Conducting from Middle Tennessee State University. She spent over a decade in the music industry as a traveling artist and consultant. Shawn has also served as the Assistant Conductor for Nashville Summer Orchestral Institute and for the Middle Tennessee High School Honors Orchestra.
